Dr. Kohles Joins AIMBE College of Fellows

Dr. Kohles has been recognized by the American Institute for Medical and Biological Engineering  (AIMBE) as one the top 2% in his field.  He was peer-nominated, peer-reviewed, peer-elected, and inducted:

“For innovative contributions to biomechanics through

theoretical and applied physics

characterizing the mechanical behavior of tissues and forensic injury mechanisms.”


Dr. Kohles Appointed First BMES Fellow in Oregon

Dr. Kohles was recently elected to the grade of Fellow by the Biomedical Engineering Society (BMES) having demonstrated impactful achievements and made significant contributions to the biomedical engineering community. He was specifically selected:


"For achievements in the application of fundamental mechanics towards

characterizing the mechanical behavior of tissues, contributing to the editorial management of scholarly works, and

providing medicolegal injury biomechanics expert testimony."
